Booster Club

A great way for you to show your enthusiasm and demonstrate your support for the ECU Hockey Club is joining the Pirate Ice Hockey Booster Club. There are many benefits to becoming a Pirate Hockey Booster Club member including:

  • The Pirate Hockey Booster Club is an excellent way to develop friendships with other ECU hockey fans who love the game of hockey.

  • For those new to the game of hockey, there is no better path to learn about the game in a fun-filled, collegiate atmosphere.

  • The ECU Hockey Booster Club may be the best environment to get to know the players, team, and coaching staff as we schedule events with the hockey club.

  • An enjoyable way to spend a weekend supporting the team on the road as we tailgate with the team, family and friends.

More importantly, the student athletes from the ECU Hockey Club have established a "culture of winning" both on and off the ice and we are proud to be a part of the winning tradition giving back to the community. Did you know that the Pirate Hockey Booster Club has assisted the team with many volunteer community events including: annual food drives, fundraising for the Pitt County Rape Crisis Center, elementary school reading events, and volunteer coaching of youth hockey teams, to name a few? Were you aware that the ECU Hockey Booster Club has financially assisted the team, in ways too numerous to mention, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Hockey Club each year? Finally, did you know that we have provided guidance and volunteers to assist the team in its' fundraising activities from selling hockey apparel to selling hockey programs? Anyone who wants to join the Pirate Hockey Booster Club can join and there is no cost; all we need is your contact information. We can be reached at www.ecuicehockey.com or at BoosterClubIce@aol.com

THE ORMSBEE AWARD is presented each year, by the Pirate Hockey Booster Club, as a tribute to former player and current Coach Mike Ormsbee. The award is presented to a player(s) who represent Leadership, Integrity and Hard Work, both on the ice and in the community.
