Pirates Participate in Read Across America
Select Players Visit Green County Middle School3/5/07
SNOW HILL, NC - Select ECU Ice Hockey players visited Green County Middle School this week to participate in the National Education Association's 10th Anniversary of Read Across America which is the nation's largest reading celebration.
Players read books and poems to sixth through eighth graders and discussed the importance of reading from an early age. Dr. Suess was a favorite selection of many of the students as it was also his birthday.
The ECU Ice Hockey Club is honored to have been invited to participate in the event as the club continues to actively give back to the local community. Look for pictures to be up very soon.
