Pirates Release Tryout Dates, Welcome New Players

All incoming players urged to email team prior to meeting

GREENVILLE, NC - The summer is almost over and that means the puck is about to drop on the 2006-07 season. The schedule has been released and proves to be both challenging and exciting. The ECU Ice Hockey Club would like to announce some important dates for all planning to tryout for the 2006-07 team .

An informational meeting, which is mandatory for all who intend to tryout, will be held Wednesday, August 30 at 8pm in the Student Recreational Center classroom. Tryouts will be held Friday and Saturday, September 1-2 at a time to be announced. The selected team will then assemble for a meeting Monday, September 4 at 8pm being held again in the Student Recreational Center classroom. Practice will begin the following day, Tuesday, September 5 at a time to be announced. A full list of these dates is listed below:

• Informational Meeting - August 30, 8pm, Student Recreational Center Classroom
• Tryouts - September 5 & 7, time 9-11pm, Bladez on Ice, Tryout Cost is $20 (cash only)
• Team Meeting - TBA , time TBA, Student Recreational Center Classroom
• First Practice - September 10, time 9-11pm, Bladez on Ice
• First Semester Dues - September 28
• First Game - October 6, time 9:30pm, Bladez on Ice
